Fostering an Open Ecosystem on the Symphony Platform and solving common Financial Services problems through Open Collaboration and Governance.
The Foundation hosts an Open Source ecosystem of projects distributed under the Apache License 2.0 and governed by our project governance, lifecycle and processes. Projects are developed against the Open Developer Platform, the Open API access to Symphony provided by the Foundation to its contributors. If you are looking to contribute a project, a snippet or documentation to the Foundation, please review our Contribution Process and get in touch with our Community.
Members of the Symphony Software Foundation create and participate in Working Groups focused on industry standardization on Symphony, in order to maximize adoption and interoperability on the common communication fabric provided by the platform. If you are a current Member of the Foundation, make sure you join the Member distribution list to be kept up to date. If you are interested in joining the Foundation as a Member, don't hesitate to reach out!
The Foundation implements an Open Governance model, which includes a Board of Directors, an Engineering Steering Committee (ESCo) and the participation from Members, under the impartial and transparent oversight of the Foundation Officers. All of our governing documents are public domain and our Governance primer provides detailed overview of our Governance.
